If you look around on a Sunday morning you will see a wide variety of women that are a part of the Element family. And just as we are varied, the events for us will be varied! If you think you've experienced women's ministry before...trust me - you haven't experienced anything like this before! If there is an event that doesn't interest you, I'd like to encourage you to give it a try anyway... the next one may be just what you were looking for - but the one you didn't think was for you may surprise you...and at the very least you'll get the chance to meet more of the Element community. Here's what's on the calendar so far ...and if you have ideas for other ways to connect with one another, please let us know. And remember... you are always welcome to invite someone to come with you - whether they attend Element or not!

This three book trilogy by Ted Dekker is our next selection. Join us as we read all three - The story will keep you on the edge of your seat! You need JavaScript enabled to view it by Sept 10th to let her know if you need a book (the cost for all three together will be only $20), or if you already have one and will be reading with us. We will begin reading as soon as the books are in and will plan on a riveting discussion in January - that gives you a month to read each part - I can't wait to talk to you about it - I loved these books!
Join us for an informal time to explore “The Case for Christ” by Lee Strobel. It will be enlightening, and exciting and fun! Element Café is the place to be on Tuesday evenings. Pull up a chair, relax and get to know one another – guests welcome! Childcare is available – 6:30-8:00ish pm beginning August 17th - but you can join anytime between Aug 17th and Thanksgiving.
Books are in and are available on the info table on a Sunday morning for $12 - or you can come on any Tuesday night and pick one up while you are there - or maybe you even already have it on your bookshelf at home!

The "First Saturday" of each month the Women of Element get together for a little outdoor time (weather permitting!) We call it the "First Saturday Hike" but don't let the word "HIKE" scare you off. This isn't just for you "professional hikers" - this is appropriate for all women, any age and any skill level.
On September 4th we'll be going to La Purisima Mission Trail. Wear comfortable shoes and bring some water. Meet at the church at 8:30 am to car pool. Invite a friend to come with you and enjoy our Central Coast outdoors! Contact Karin at

CHIX WITH STIX - Continues to meet on the third Saturday of each month from 9:00 - 11:00 am-ish. This is a group for women who do any kind of portable craft: knitting, crocheting, beading, card making, hand quilting you name it. This is a chance to chat with other women and work either on a current project or deal with your New Year's Resolution to clear up your UFO's (UnFinished Objects). We will be meeting in a side room of Cafe Noir on the corner of Broadway and West battles in Santa Maria.
