In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus does not start off the “Lord’s Prayer” with “Our King,” even though God is our King. He doesn’t start with “Our Creator,” even though He is our creator. Jesus doesn’t even start off with “Our Friend,” even though we are told that we can be friends of God. Jesus starts in a place where we all must start when wanting to honestly hear God’s voice in any situation--He starts with “Our Father.”
